Several weeks ago I was the bad kid. I skipped
class.
Every year the Land Trust hosts a Volunteer Monitor
Training workshop for folks interested in learning what it's all
about. Since I've been doing this series I was looking forward
to some actual "class time" but measures beyond my control
took me out of town on precisely that day!
I was lucky enough to both gather leftover materials and
find participants willing to share their experience with me; and I'm
glad that I asked them.

Programs Coordinator Anna Slack has been writing about
her experience becoming a fully trained monitor for UVLT. If
you missed her other lessons you can find them here.
