Have you ever wanted to learn how to recognize and describe specific components of wildlife habitats? Join us for this workshop led by Matt Tarr, UNH Cooperative Extension Wildlife Habitat Specialist, and discover how those components function as habitat for vertebrates and invertebrates. You will learn how to assess the current habitat conditions on your land and what you can do to make your land more attractive to various wildlife species. Throughout this workshop, we will discuss how to identify the tree, shrub, and herbaceous plant species we encounter and how each of these plants functions as habitats for wildlife.
Before attending this workshop, please watch this video highlighting many of the essential concepts we will be applying in the field: An Introduction to Wildlife Habitat Assessment & Management.
Please bring your binoculars, clothing, footwear appropriate for being outdoors, water, and snacks. The workshop is limited to 20 participants, so save your spot now!
