Public access is a privilege granted to UVLT for the benefit of the general public. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to clarify where individuals with mobility disabilities may operate wheelchairs and various types of other power-driven mobility devices (OPDMDs) on lands open to pedestrian access for the general public. As required by federal law, UVLT accommodates wheelchairs and other mobility devices in order to allow individuals with disabilities to use and appreciate conserved lands and trails. UVLT seeks to ensure good stewardship of the land and the safety of everyone who enjoys the outdoors.  Click here for answers to Frequently Asked Questions regarding the use of conserved lands and trails by individuals with mobility disabilities.
