Nature Preserve Established in Thetford

What’s so cool about the Taylor Floodplain Preserve?  This ecologically important 37-acre property was permanently protected last night with a conservation easement held by UVLT.  The Preserve, which is owned by the Town of Thetford and is open to the public, is home to moose, deer, beaver, fox, mink, turtles (both common and rare), over 42 bird species, and more!

The property is also important for its floodwater storage capacity estimated at over 20 million gallons!
