Land Description
Cream Street Conservation Area was donated to UVLT in May 2023. The 151+ acre property includes upland forest, more than 20 acres of wetland and cedar swamp. There are unique ecological resources and habitat which offer educational and research opportunities.
The donors (who wish to remain anonymous) visited the property as a place of refuge and contemplation as far back as the 1960s. A house on the property was used for retreats before it was taken down in 1974. There were hikes around the wetland and picnics. At one time, the land was so open that visitors could see the White Mountains. Now most of the land has reverted to woods and is a place where wetland plants and animals thrive.
