UVLT’s June birding walk will take place at Ely Mountain Conservation Area in Thetford, VT. We will aim to get a complete checklist during this bird monitoring walk, but it will be suitable for all skill levels. Expect to walk between 1- 1 1/2 miles on rugged trails with a few, moderate uphill sections. Bring sturdy shoes, bug repellent, water, and binoculars if you have them!
Directions: The trailhead is located on Quinibeck Rd at the intersection with Denison Ln (link to Google Maps). From I-91 Exit 14 travel west 3.1 miles on Rte. 113. Turn right on 5 Corners Road. Travel 2.3 miles to a “five corner” intersection. Bear slightly left on Quinibeck Road. The parking area is about one mile on the right.
