Join UVLT Naturalist and Outdoor Programs Leader Holly Henderson and her young family on a woodlands walk that encourages exploration, wonder, and fun for kids of all ages. During this “hike” we’ll encourage children to engage with the natural world as they see fit, following leave no trace principles – whether that’s careful observation or adventurous play! Holly will point out some of the plants, birds, mammals, and insects that live on Ely Mountain and parents will enjoy community and camaraderie.
We’ll wrap up our walk by enjoying music together at UVLT’s Raise the Roof: 40 Years Strong 40th anniversary celebration. Be sure to pack a picnic if you’d like to enjoy dinner with us!
