Winter is here! Join us for an easy, guided hike to learn how plants and animals adapt to survive the coldest months of the year. During the walk, we will explore topics such as the subnivean (under snow) zone, tree bark and bud identification, moss ecology, wildlife “hibernation,” and winter wildlife tracking.
Please bring warm, waterproof layers and xc skis or snowshoes in the event of snow. We will walk/ski/snowshoe approximately 1-1.5 miles.
Meet at The Dismal at Pressey Brook Conservation Area parking lot at 90-60 Goose Pond Rd, Hanover, NH 03755 (approximately one mile northwest of Goose Pond Cemetery on Goose Pond Rd).
Space is limited to 15 participants. Registration is required.
