Join Local Amphibian Enthusiasts and Volunteers for a Meetup*

“Amphibian volunteering can be a pretty solitary activity as the number one
way to volunteer is simply to stay home and avoid driving places on the
potential “Big Nights.” It’s always best to find the amphibian crossing
closest to your own home, and walk there if you can. That said, we have a
meetup, where you can meet other local amphibian people.

It will take place Sunday, March 31st from
10am to noon at the Zebedee Wetland in Thetford, a very short ride up
Houghton Hill Road from Rt 113. There’s a short loop trail that goes around
the wetland and up through adjacent forest with lots to explore, and
there’s even a scattering of cute little paintings kids have made of
animals they’ve spotted at the wetland.

So, will we be hiking in mud or snow? Hard to say at this point in the
week. We’ll have a researcher-educator present to make the adventure extra
rich and educational for everyone, but also feel free to bring your
amphibian volunteer training thoughts and questions and anticipation.”
