President Jeanie McIntyre Retirement Announced

Dear Upper Valley Land Trust friends and supporters:

UVLT President Jeanie McIntyre has informed the UVLT Board of Trustees of her plans to retire on June 30, 2026. Jeanie joined UVLT in 1987, two years after our founding, and has been a guiding force over her remarkable 39-year tenure.

Jeanie’s efforts have had an exceptional impact on communities and land conservation in the Upper Valley. She has fostered wonderful partnerships and motivated volunteers, landowners, donors, and civic leaders on behalf of the places we all love. We have been tremendously fortunate to have had her leadership, and I’m thrilled that she plans to continue sharing her passion and expertise with UVLT as a volunteer.

I’m also pleased to share that Manning Rountree will re-join the UVLT Board of Trustees for his third term and will serve as interim president, effective July 1, while we conduct a national search for our next president. Manning is a proven executive and a highly respected leader who is also thoroughly familiar with the Upper Valley and UVLT. We will be very fortunate indeed to have him at the helm during this transition period.

You’ll find additional details in a press release. We will continue to share information as this important transition unfolds.

Thank you for being a part of the UVLT family. We know you love the Upper Valley as we do, and that’s why we all work so hard on its behalf.

With appreciation,

Patty Armstrong
Chair, UVLT Board of Trustees
