Bird Walk and Management Talk at Cream Street Conservation Area

Friday, April 17 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Join UVLT and Audubon Vermont for a bird walk and management talk at the Cream Street Conservation Area in Thetford, VT. This will be a moderate, one-mile hike along an unimproved forest trail. Please bring your binoculars (if you have them) and sturdy footwear. Registration is limited to 20 participants!

For the first hour, we will explore and identify birds and at 9 a.m. we switch gears to discuss bird-friendly forest management strategies with Audubon Vermont Senior Forest Conservation Associate Fen Levy-O’Malley. With the sugaring season drawing to a close, it’s the perfect time to discuss what bird-friendly management looks like in the sugarbush and how sugar makers can enroll in Audubon’s Bird-Friendly Maple program!

Directions: From Thetford Center travel south on Academy Road for three miles, take a sharp right turn to head north on Hwy. 132 for two miles, then veer left onto Cream Street. Look for the event sign and trail access after ~0.5 miles. Parking will be on the shoulder of Cream Street.

Please register for this event.
