Join UVLT and County Forester, Hannah Dallas, for a beginner‑friendly Introduction to Nature Journaling workshop. In this workshop, we’ll explore simple ways to observe the natural world, especially forests, and make simple drawings and notes to foster curiosity and exploration. No art skills or journaling background are needed. All supplies will be provided for the day including a simple journal pencils, watercolor paints and brushes.
During this event we’ll take a walk around the UVLT’s Pohl Conservation Area (aka Hartland Winter Trails) in Hartland stopping to discuss the history of the property and hone our observational skills. We will learn the basics of creating a nature journal entry and stop at two locations to practice making entries.
Please be prepared to walk and sit outside for 2 hours. Registration capped at 15 people. Sign up here.
