Grab your snowshoes or cross-country skis and join us for a guided adventure to Smith Pond. Along the way, outdoor program leader Holly Henderson will share insights into how plants and animals survive the cold winter months. We’ll explore topics such as the subnivean (under snow) zone, tree bark and bud identification, moss ecology, wildlife “hibernation,” and winter wildlife tracking. If conditions allow, we will venture across Smith Pond to prepare our wood duck nest boxes for spring!
