Signs Come Down at Norwich Farms
We’ve been replacing “No Trespassing” signs with UVLT boundary markers at Norwich Farms, and locating numerous vernal pools and other interesting natural features. At the same time, farmer Erik Lafferty is getting his cows situated and beginning to ship milk from the building complex owned by Vermont Technical College. We welcome you to join us on a walk or hike (see our calendar for events this month) or visit our newest conservation area on your own. A two-page description and map of the property is here. Please remember that the agricultural land is part of a working farm. Park in the designated area (see our sketch map below), do not block farm traffic and walk on the farm road until you are beyond the farmed area. In the coming months we’ll be improving the parking and signs, and mapping and marking trails. You can support this effort by making a contribution to support the Norwich Farms project.
