Fall Hiking Challenge: UVLT Crazy Eight
This fall UVLT is hosting a virtual trail challenge! Visit some of the lesser known trails of the Upper Valley and see places you haven’t been before.
During the pandemic the importance of being able to recreate close to home has become clear. More people are staying home and looking for ways to be outside while they remain home and social distancing and because of that many new people have been visiting our conservation areas! People who would normally travel further for outdoor recreation are now looking for alternatives closer to home and folks who were always hiking our trails are now doing so more frequently. Due to these reasons we have seen an uptick in recreational visits to some of our most popular conservation areas. But those popular spots are not the only places to get outside and enjoy nature! The Upper Valley has so many beautiful, interesting, scenic places to visit right outside our doors. This trail challenge high lights some of those special places in our valley.
We are challenging participants to complete all eight trails in the challenge before December 1st! Everyone who completes all 8 trails will earn a UVLT patch. All you have to do is download the log sheet and fill it in as you go on your hikes! Submit your completed form to Alison at alison.marchione@uvlt.org to receive your prize!
Visit this page of our website for all the details and a link to the log page! Post pictures of your adventures to social media with the hashtag #UVLTcrazy8 and we’ll share your photos.
